Time and time again romantic movies have recreated the magic of human emotions. And especially some films had made a deep impact on the viewers all over the world. Not only the classic movies but also some recent movies have many a time taught us about love. Different relationships, different emotions and even the strangest of characters have been portrayed in films now and then. Some of these characters have managed to stay with us creating an eternal impact on our minds, while some have failed to bring about that magical aura of love.

The first film, which comes to the mind, is a film titled 'Sweet November'. It is the story about an ailing girl who is predicted to die from cancer in the month of November. So without giving up on the life that she loves so dearly, she decides to live the existing life as happily as she can. And then she meets this young man who is frustrated with life. He had to leave his job he loved so much and now he does not know what to do with his life. Charlize Theron plays the character of the ailing girl and the Keanu Reeves played the young man. It is a nice story, which teaches us to love life and makes the best out of any circumstances. The man, who did not know what life is, gradually falls in love with this ailing girl and feels the bond of relationships and love for the first time in his life. A great story nicely told and with a good moral, making the film really special.

The second movie that teaches you about love has got to be the romantic 'Walk in the Clouds'. It is a nicely told romantic movie. The main character played by Keanu Reeves, Anthony Quinn and other French actors. It is the story of a girl who is coming back to her village and wants to bring her fiance along. But her actual fiance never turns up at the right time. The girl now takes the help of a fellow traveler who willingly becomes her fiance for a fortnight. When they reach the village, the warmth of the traditional yet simple greeting of the folks mesmerizes them. The two strangers gradually fall in love with each other. The film has shown a nice bond between two strangers, which slowly grows into love. The relationship that grew between two strangers makes us believe that bond that binds two people can make miracles happen.

The third movie that teaches you about love is 'Pretty Woman'. It is a very commercial movie, but with a great star casting. This movie has been watched by millions of moviegoers. It remains till date one of the best-liked movies. Julia Roberts introduces herself in this movie and looks ravishing along with Richard Gere. The story is quite simple. A call girl meets a rich guy and then the story begins. The ending of the story is quite fascinating when Vivian decides to pursue her studies again. This teaches us that love can make life better for anyone. It gives you a positive attitude towards life which we sometime lack. It also teaches that it is never too late to start anything new, even if it means starting all over again.

The History Of World Movie

The history of world movie goes back quite early, to around the later part of 1800. It is now more than hundred years since the movies have paved the golden path of success. Movies have developed through these long years of experiments and innovations. Technology has contributed vastly towards the development of the world cinema. From the time it started its glorious journey till this date world movies have captured millions and millions of heart all over the world with its magic. The charm of cinema has practically cast a spell on the audience world over.

A brief history

The journey of world movie began with the silent era. Silent era implies that the films were made without using any sound or dialogues, as the technology of sound in cinema was not developed at that nascent stage. There were no devices to synchronize sound with the image, thus for the first thirty years of its birth the cinema remained silent until the development of sound technology in the late 1920s.

The first ten years of the world movie was more or less unorganized, but gradually it started to become an established industry by itself. The films represented a switch over from films consisting of one shot, totally made by one person with a handful of assistants, to movies which are several minutes long, consisting of several scenes, which were made by large companies in professional methods.

The most successful film company in the United States which had the largest production unit until 1900, was the American Mutoscope company. This company used to project peep show kind of movies. This kind of projection was done with the help of a machine called Mutoscope. During that time there were numerous other small time movie producers in the United States of America but some of them established a longer presence in the field of cinema making at the advent of the century.

France was not far behind US in the field of movie making. Lumiere was the one of the first companies to shoot movie scenes outside the studio. They also sent their cameramen allover the world to shoot films. Georges Meilies was the biggest producer of feature films in France. He started using various effects such as trick effects from as early as 1898. Later on many other film makers went on to use other new effects which became very successful.

The first movie cameras which were used to film shots, were tied or fixed on the tripod with the most basic kind of levelling devices provided. The earliest movie cameras were effectively fixed during the period of a film shot. But the first camera movements were made by mounting a camera on a moving vehicle.

The standard pattern for early film studio was adapted from the style of studio which Georges Meilies built in May of 1897 which had three glass walls and a glass roof. It was fitted with thin cotton cloths stretched under the glass roof to diffuse the direct rays of the sun. The history of world cinema underwent a long process of creation, research and application of new techniques. Innumerable methods have been tried and applied to make film making one of the greatest and finest of performing arts in the world.

Replicants have been deemed illegal and Deckard is a blade runner, a specialist in exterminating them. It also discusses consciousness with an attempt to formulate a way to tell a human from a machine. The Voight-Kampff empathy test is used by the police in the film to identify the replicants - who have memories implanted and are programmed with artificial emotions.

The third film is also directed by Ridley Scott named Alien which is being in the year 1979. The film is about in stellar mining vehicle Nostromo, heading back to Earth, intercepts a signal from a nearby planet, the crew are under obligation to investigate. The most important scene from this film almost became iconic with an infant creature bursting bloodily through John Hurt's chest. The interstellar mining vessel takes onboard a life form with concentrated acid for blood and two sets of jaws, which then messily dispatches the crew. The film was praised for the gothic set design and Sigourney Weaver's portrayal of reluctant hero Ellen Ripley.

The fourth film is called 2001 A Space Oddesy directed by Stanely Kubrick. This film was being made in the year 1968. The film is one of the finest works of director Staley Kubrick. This film achieved enormous fame for its then revolutionary special effects. Even before the invention of super computers and stunning special effects, this film has brilliance of the simulations, which would never be done better despite all the modern computer graphics.

The fifth film is called Solaris, which is directed by Andrei Tarkovsky. This film is being made in the year 1972. This fantastic science fiction was remade in the year 2002 but the original holds a fascination for fans of the novel by Stanislaw Lem. This film is about a psychologist who travels to a base on a remote planet to replace a mysteriously deceased scientist. There he encounters the secretive survivors and his dead wife. Reality is supplanted by the increasingly attractive alternative of the alien intelligence of that planet.
